I just downloaded your Southern Cast Iron Cookbook today and am excited to try all of your wonderful recipes – starting with the Blueberry Mountain Pie 😀 I’m assuming you bake it uncovered, correct?

Yes! It’s uncovered! I hope you love it as much as I do, that is one of my favorite desserts.

I just downloaded your wonderful book to my IPad. I love all of your homey family share stories that go with each recipe.
I don’t currently even have a cast iron pan but have been meaning too. I always remember my mom using hers faithfully.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I bought this cookbook! I’ve had two new skillets sitting on the counter for weeks because I wasn’t sure how to season them and clean them properly care for them. Your section on caring for cast iron pans answered every question that I had. I can’t wait to get going. First recipe I’m going to try is the potato rosemary frittata. Thank again for such a helpful and thoughtful cook book.

[…] pintopinterest Being around this family is guaranteed to make you smile.  They are just so happy together and it’s contagious.  Seriously, if I start a family, I might have to shadow them.  They are winning at the family thing BIG TIME.  We met at the beach on baby Ev’s first birthday morning.  It was so special to see them celebrating and playing with their son and dedicating his first day to just hanging out and doing fun things together as a family.  That is what it’s all about, having that time together.  I’m also obsessed with Elena’s hair.  It’s just like, the perfect beach hair we all strive for but just can’t nail down.  Just wanted to put that out there.   Not only does she have perfect hair, but she has southern food blog and a cookbook that will make you drool all over yourself, so you should probably check that out.  To make it easy here is the link to do that! – http://biscuitsandsuch.com/2017/05/16/the-southern-cast-iron-cookbook/ […]

I got your cookbook this weekend as a bridal shower gift from your Aunt Jill and I’m SO excited to try out the recipes!!! (Also thank you for the section on seasoning & caring for a cast iron pan, that’s one part of cooking that I’m clueless about 😂)
